We process personal data to meet our legal, statutory, and contractual obligations, to provide commercial accounting and related services, to comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, and for marketing purposes. We rely on Article 6 of the UK GDPR as our legal basis for processing.

We will never collect unnecessary personal data. The data we may collect includes:

• Full name, home address and/or business address
• Date of birth, gender, nationality, marital status
• Personal and/or business email address
• Mobile and home telephone numbers
• National Insurance number
• Personal and/or business Unique Tax Reference (UTR) number
• Passport or driving licence number and other government identifiers
• Photographs (for AML identity verification)
• Personal or business bank account details relevant to services provided
• Business, financial and tax information relevant to our services

Data may be collected via: our website contact form, completed paper or digital forms, telephone conversations, documents provided for contracted services, letters, emails and text messages, or standing order mandates.

We will not disclose, share, or sell your data without your consent, unless required by law or in the following circumstances:

• Debt recovery: If invoices remain unpaid, we may engage third-party debt collectors (Article 6.1.f UK GDPR).
• ACCA compliance reviews: We may share information with our regulator (Article 6.1.c UK GDPR).
• HMRC requests: We are legally obliged to provide information upon request (Article 6.1.c UK GDPR).

Retention: Client data is retained for a minimum of 5 years and maximum of 7 years after disengagement, in line with HMRC requirements. AML due diligence data is kept for a minimum of 5 years post-disengagement.

We process your personal data for the following purposes: marketing communications; delivering services and advice; maintaining records for professional bodies; legal compliance; communicating with you and HMRC; managing service payments; and personalising our offering.

We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling a request to keep your data secure.

Where we need personal data to fulfil a contract with you, and you fail to provide it, we may be unable to perform that contract or enter into one with you.
